Jump on the Victorian Public Transport website and plan your journey as this has the most up-to-date information. To get your started though, here are some suggestions:



The SkyBus transports visitors directly from Melbourne Airport to Southern Cross train station. From there catch tram number 96, 109 or 12.

There are five car parks available for use. The Exhibition Centre carpark entrance is off Normanby Road. Weekend rates are $20 per exit, per day.  Visit the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre website to see all options.

Take any train that goes to Southern Cross Station then catch tram number 96, 109 or 12. 

Catch any of the following trams and get off at Stop 124A opposite the Clarendon Street entrance of the MCEC:

  • Route 96 – St Kilda to East Brunswick
  • Route 109 – Port Melbourne to Box Hill
  • Route 12 – Victoria Gardens to St Kilda

Alternatively catch tram number 70 or 75 and get off at Stop D5 South Wharf/Wurundjeri Way.  Then take a short walk towards the Yarra River, across the Seafarers Bridge.


Ask the driver to drop you off at the Clarendon Street entrance of MCEC.
